Many British women writers of centuries past lived and wrote well into their seventh decades, though this fact remains little known. Learn about what happened to the first generations of professional women authors in Great Britain who had opportunities to publish books, almost from the cradle to the grave, in this illustrated lecture. Prof Looser’s talk will focus particularly on what happened to those celebrated female authors who had the good fortune to reach old age but who faced the challenges of doing so in a culture that had a very limited sense of their potential.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_empty_space height=”20″][/vc_column][/vc_row]
