Participants are asked to submit a unique image, along with an abstract of 150 words describing how the image reflects their research.

Images:
- Should be full colour or black and white
- The image should not contain added text
- Images can be submitted in portrait or landscape orientation. The overall presentation of your submission may vary depending on which orientation you choose.
- To be at the highest resolution possible, due to printing of the image at A3 size or above at the exhibition
- Either jpg, png or tif format (tif format preferred – no gif files will be accepted).
Abstract:
Each submission must include a short abstract describing what can be seen on the picture, how this is a reflection of your research or the benefits of your collaboration to you, your research, your collaborators, your discipline or the public/society in general.
As the abstract will be read by members of the general public and other non-specialists in your research area you must ensure that the abstract uses plain English and is jargon-free. Maximum abstract length: strictly 150 words.
Please note that entries that do not conform to the specifications for the image file or abstract will be rejected.
Subject limitations:
No explicit/graphic content or portrayals of illegal activities. Submissions that, in the sole discretion of the judges, are considered inappropriate or unsuitable for publication will be deemed ineligible and removed from the competition.
Submissions:
A maximum of two submissions per staff member can be entered into the competition, each submission must be accompanied by an abstract. No duplications of abstracts will be accepted.
Deadline for submission:
